WNB World Final round up 2016

The vote was cast and the small minority just tipped the balance in favour of Ipswich for our track choice so thats where we headed for the 2016 world final.

A couple of drivers couldnt make it so that increased the number to 4 going through from the LCQ,Well done to Trifly,Bean & Moza (more about him shortly!) and Craig who took the win,It was quite a seesaw race with everyone going up and down the running order but Craig was there when it mattered on the last lap to cement his place in the big race just 0.100 ahead of Trifly,Moza taking the 4th spot with Cashy on his arse.

So onto the main race,With our 4 extra qualifiers we had a grid of 22 cars lined up to take the biggest prize of the year.The one we have earned them pissing wqr points for just to be in with a chance of being the best.
6 drivers all leading at some point with DannyG & Deano lighting up the timing screens putting in some blistering laps despite the chaos that was unfolding,A few drivers took it upon themselves to oppo down the straights clearly showing they couldnt get the job done within the rules.
When the flag finally fell it was Moza! who blasted across the line in convincing fashion with Jools in his smart jag barely a second behind proving the old boy can be bloody fast when he wants to be! Hodgie,Deano & DannyG making up the top 5 with the rest of the finishers a lap down,

We then had a couple of heats which were won by Deano & Dode with Deano going on to take the meeting final proving he has serious pace around the long foxhall heath oval,Surely a strong contender for any future meetings here.

Moza has generally been the guy who turns up week after week in a massive yank,rated old tin or some piece of utter shit! He likes to occupy turn 2 and will normally try his best to crack everyone head on and mix things up and more often than not thats exactly what he succeeds in doing.Having got through in the last chance qualifier and then winning the world final after having lead 7 laps,hes proved beyond doubt that he can race and wreck in equal measures,His attitude is always spot on,never one to take things seriously and get upset,You know he has a big smile when your Merc goes snap and his bilge backs off! Congrats Oliver Morris Enjoy your year as 2016/17 champion mate!
