Just so you know....
TNB 2013 is GO! Ricko is joining the admin team.
Your first meeting of the new season will be Thursday 14th March.
Expect a pre season domestic/warm up on the 7th too.
Fixtures will be drafted very shortly so use this thread to suggest what meetings you would like this year.

Re: Just so you know....
Probably goes without saying but, Swaffham Yanks, Arena Old Skool memorial meeting and the Old Skool series are a must!
Also, some sort of big car encouraged Fleet meeting like our yank hearses, limos and ambulances invasion last year Some rigged heats with the biggest cars all in and pinning and blocking allowed of course!

Re: Just so you know....
will probably post again once i think of more stuff......
scrap the swearing rule, causes more trouble than it's worth every year and it's not going to get any easier to police. muting chat a bit more when things get out of hand however is a must. anyone who's purposely being provokotive and stirring things up should be given a warning then load up though imo as it disrupts meetings a lot
only hold the meeting up for hosts, will enable starting on time. meeting shouldn't be held up for dp's or people just downloading pack/track. on an average night there'd be atleast 35 others waiting wanting to race, plus regular racers on the continent being an hour ahead which you've got to keep in mind. i usually try and have WNB meetings done by 10pm, but you're starting half an hour later so i suppose 10.30 should be your target
make sure there's a dp in each heat and make sure they save the replay so they can be 'responsible for that heat' and viewing replays if needed. will minimise waiting between races as that took ages last season
if we're having meetings with a restricted car list, and you just put 'nothing newer than a mk1 granada', i think it would be worth your while typing up what should/shouldn't be allowed, since the big japs are generally allowed and are newer than a mk1 lol
Mind you, saying no Mk2/3 Granadas/Scorpios, Supras, Omegas, Volvos, XJ Jaguars, Previas, Espaces or Lexus' covers just about everything doesn't it?
don't piss off the mirc chat admin
fixtures similar to 2011 would be brilliant as that was a great season. everything spread out a bit more would be nice too, though i know last season only wasn't spread out because of the initial unorganised start which left only a few months to squeeze everything in
keep championship meetings top XX in the national points as that works - although don't make that number too high or it takes the 'eliteness' off the races it and packs the track up too much (remember smeatharpe 2litre world...). top 16 for smaller tracks (mildo/smeath/wimbo etc) and top 18 for bigger tracls (arena/nitten/swaff etc)
for big meetings with a pre-determined grid, run heats, then main race. scrap the LCQ race i say and have it go to the top scoring non qualifier. saves fussing about with controversial lcq's, but you would need someone adding points as the night goes on, which i'm sure is no trouble if you pre-arrange someone to do that
doing this will also give drivers not qualified a reason to race, and if there's someone you don't want qualifying then you can go abouts stopping them adding a payback aspect to those who've performed well in the league
some attendance points scheme was suggested, possibly for those who support non points meetings....think there was a thread a while back on it
i know not everyone on the tnb team is guilty of it, but i hear the occasional comment from hosts or people who help out saying they don't get asked politley for use of their servers, or a simple 'thank you' for their involvement or efforts. without a certain few hosts alot of nights we'd be pretty screwed, so being in the good books of those who keepi the game going is probably the most important thing you can do.
this also applies to those racing and being thankful of a nights racing provided by the leagues team, as without them there wouldn't be a tnb. it's no ones job it's all voluntary, anyone can drop out at any point

Re: Just so you know....
Would quite like a few all car meetings, all jags, all cortina etc etc.. What i wanted to do for MNB, but already had all the fixtures planned and sorted out before doing anything. Also dont mind me giving a hand on the dp team if needed, if that would stop the 8.30 start and bring it to 8pm if your worried about that, could make pack etc etc. Happy to help
Meeting wise only what ive stated would be what id like to see, old skool meetings at rated tracks such as newton/arenaoldskool would also be a great delite. Picking up on Dannyg's modding would also be a good start as gets away with it too much
Other than that, look forward to just racing in what used to be a very enjoyable league, other than WNB. Hope it all works out fine, good luck all

Re: Just so you know....
Consistancy
Title meetings spaced out better with fun domestic type meetings inbetween, alot of leagues lack a domestic scene so to speak.
Same with track usage aswell, make sure each track gets used fairly(except Cowdie and Buxton cos they are horrific lol.)
PRI oldskool rounds (1 all a60, 1 all cortina and 1 all granada?) With PRI theme'd paint schemes aswell (maybe drivers that turn up in their own colours instead of painting in the oldskool colours that are listed have to forfeit 20 WQR points?)
As Toward said, all yank (only allow the really big yanks, ie limos n hearse versions) meeting at fleet with pinning and blocking allowed.
Bans for anyone found to be racing Grid/Forza meetings on Xbox at the same time as the meeting (ie leaving their car rolling around the track whilst they play the boxy, its f@@king annoying when the car gets hit and rolls out infront of you.)
Continue the bonus points but maybe offer more points to entice more people to use the bonus car(s) especially if its something as shit as a mk2 cortina lol!
Maybe Dalags could re-do Westworld so we can have a proper Blockbuster
Modellers meet, where all the brand new cars from this year/previous update are only allowed, maybe offer bonus points for the cars that are more unsual and less likely to be used. Maybe ban the Granada's aswell to prevent it from becoming a Granny fest.
Mini's at Aldershot (before they get rephysic'd as their basically on the old Metro physics at the moment. Unless Dalags decides to make a second version for normal micro meets?)
Attendance point's.
Antelope Island World Final at Upper Eden
Heat winners start at the back of the grid for Finals.
That's all I can think of at the moment lol.

Re: Just so you know....
Will the Oldskool and memorial Meetings be returning?
Always been a favourite of mine since I started racing online but would hope that they don't have split finals like the last one as it just didn't live up to the expectations.
As mentioned before I think scrapping uneccesary rules such as swearing will help get the league back on track as it will make it easier for people to stay within the rules and easier for you to police everything.
I'll be available most thursdays with a server, look forward to racing the league again.
